One system live across nine department portals, built from zero in 10 months.

The problem

The organization had no business system to begin with. Every step of production moved on paper: slips travelled by hand between departments, noting a quantity or a job order, with no digital record behind any of it. Thousands of SKUs lived in Excel, but each department that touched a file described the same material a different way. Hence, one fabric could carry one code in the material list and a second code on a production sheet, depending on who entered it.  

That made traceability, the company's central quality requirement, slow and manual. Tracing a single customer complaint back to its production batch meant chasing down whichever paper slip and spreadsheet still existed for that run. 

These issues carried over to forecasting. The sales team wanted a rolling monthly demand forecast to manage inventory, spot buying trends, and plan sales with more precision, but the company had never kept the sales history a forecast depends on. Even when a forecast held, nothing translated it into a material order with the right lead time. Finished goods missed shipping windows because nothing connected the forecast to what the warehouse held or what a supplier could deliver in time. 

Why thinkbridge

There was no legacy vendor to replace and no ERP already in place. Two paths were already open, and neither one held up: 

  • Keep patching the paper-and-spreadsheet process by hand. 
  • Force the business into a generic ERP template built for someone else's operations. 

thinkbridge offered a third option: a system modelled on how this factory actually runs, down to its own unit conversions between departments, its lot-level traceability requirement, and a bill-of-materials structure spanning thousands of SKUs. thinkbridge began with a cross-department discovery to map the operation in detail, then built the surrounding system. 

Implementation & solution

thinkbridge ran discovery sessions with every department: product development, supply chain, production, quality, sales and marketing, and accounting; mapping the existing process before writing a specification. Thousands of SKU and material records, entered a different way by each department for years, went through a full normalization pass: thinkbridge matched them into one standardized catalog and had the company's own teams verify every match. 

The build, built on the thinkone accelerator, delivered nine role-based portals covering the full operation, from style and SKU development through supplier purchase orders, production tracking, quality checks, shipping, and accounting. A forecast-to-procurement chain now runs most of its own steps: an approved sales forecast generates a material requirement plan, which flows into supplier purchase orders awaiting approval, cutting out several hand-offs the company used to run by hand. The system tracks every material and finished good by lot, from receipt through each production step to shipment, giving the quality team a direct trace from any finished garment back to its fabric and its production run. 

thinkbridge trained each department's team during a supervised soft launch, then took the system live in August 2026. 

Results

Results and metrics 

60% of the organization adopted the system, one month after go-live. That number is important because there was no prior system, no digital habit, and no software culture to build on. Teams that had never worked from anything but paper and spreadsheets moved onto one platform within weeks, not over a slow, multi-quarter rollout.

The problem
